My Degree covered the teaching of the National Curriculum, which included the core subjects, which are; English, Maths and Science.  The foundation subjects are History, Geography, Music, P.E., R.E., Art and ICT

We now have to teach citizenship and French.  I enjoy teaching French as I taught this lesson when I worked in a Private school.I also enjoy teaching ICT incorporating it with the other lessons.  It broadens the scope of what we can do in the classroom with the pupils, and it helps with participation and interaction with the teacher.

I was given the responsibility for 'Raising Educational Standards in English' some 14 years ago.

My Passion is teaching  English, and I make no apologies when I make this point that this area of the curriculum is the most important  to be able to do well in all the other areas of the curriculum.

I have the God given talent to teach my pupils how to improve their work, and take pride in all that they do so that they will achieve thier highest potential.
